Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Faridabad – An Abode of Divinity
Serenity resides where divinity does – You will feel so, when you enter the premises of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Faridabad. Right in the middle of Aravalli greens in Faridabad, very close to the Leisure Valley Park at Surajkund Road, there stands majestically a beguiling white structure.
It is the not just a marble structure but a gorgeous edifice accommodating the temple and Sidhdata Ashram. This beautiful holy structure is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi who is revered as the Goddess of Wealth and Lord Shri Vishnuji – Narayan, the symbol of Preserve of everything, therefore it got its name as Lakshmi Narayan temple.
The ashram was set up in the name of Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Sudarshanacharyaji in 2007.
Structure of the Temple – Its Magnificence
The entire temple is made of very high quality marble that is imported from Makrana, a small town of Rajasthan. The wide open spaces inside the temple are meant to accommodate hundreds of devotees during festivals and other special holy occasions organized here.
At the top of the temple, stands five holy peaks, all embellished in golden cover. There is a stairway at the center of the premise that leads into the temple. At both sides of the stairway there are courtyards where you can sit and feel the peace from within.

As you get in, you will find holy idols of Lord Brahma, Lord Lakshmi Narayan-Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Rama-Seeta, Lord Krishna-Radha, Lord Narsingha, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Hanuman, goddess Durga and Saraswati. Along with these are the idols of Shrimad Swami Sudarshan Acharya and Swami Ramanujacharya. Their divine smiles of these idols look adorable.
The hall is also a huge one where the holy chants are echoed all the time. Devotees come and sit in the hall to quench their thirst for some peaceful moments they had been craving for long. Apart from this, there is a Satsang Bhawan, Divya Manoranjak Prangan, Garuda-Stambh and Pracheen Dhuna.
Not Just a Temple - Inside the Temple Premise
The temple is not just about performing rituals, there is lot more for the devotees inside the premise. A huge amount of money was invested in construction and establishing the setup of a school, a library, bhojnalaya (kitchen) and a dispensary.Recognized Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya: After Swami Sudarshanaryaji left for heavenly abode, a school or Vidyalaya was setup to honor his name. The inspiration led by Swami Purshottamacharya ji led to the construction of this school which got recognition as a high-level Sanskrit or Vedic School by Sampooran Anand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya of Varanasi and Bharat Sarkar Manav Sansthan Vikas Mantralaya, New Delhi.
The school follows a particular curriculum for imparting knowledge on Vedas. It provides all the amenities like books, boarding, uniform and food to its students.
Library: In the holy name of Swami Shri Purushottamacharya ji, the library was setup for the devotees and students of the High School. All the books based on spirituality, religion, ancient Hindi literature, social welfare, palmistry and health are made available to them and those interested. By paying a nominal membership fee, one can avail the facility and learn a lot to enhance the sense of knowledge and spirituality in him.
Bhojnalaya: During the construction of the temple, Swami Sudarnacharya ji wished to develop a means of providing food for the devotees, the Bhojnalaya or Rasoi. A Kitechen or Bhojnalaya was constructed in the honor the Goddess of food – Mata Annapurna to get the blessings for all the devotees, the hungry and the needy.
On regular basis as well as special occasions, Langars or Food for Charity or ‘Food for All’ (free meals) are organized here in the Rasoi. The Sevadars or volunteers prepare Langar in the form of Saattvik food ‘pure food – free from all evils. The food is prepared by all environment-friendly ways like using biofuel, clay pots, etc.
Dispensary: A dispensary was also setup in the premise in the service of God. In accordance with its name Janhit Swasthya Suvidha Kendra, the dispensary is dedicated to serve for the benefit of young, old and the sick. It is functional through qualified and professional staff that is comprised of well-qualified physicians and general health consultants, who attend to the general health issues of people especially those belonging to economically poor section of society. Hundreds of people are treated in this dispensary on daily basis.
The dispensary also organizes medical camps time to time. Through these camps free checkups, prescriptions, treatments, medicines and general health awareness tips are provided to the people. Specialist doctors run these camps to benefit the masses.

Devotees today, believe in the saying that visiting and serving in this temple, will pull away all the negativities from them. They have a common belief, that all their wishes will be fulfilled if they pay visit to the temple. It seems that Almighty has bestowed upon this structure, with all the holy magic and grace.
